History

The History of Salon Cabochon

In March of 1998, Christine and Scott Sharrow decided to purchase their own salon. Christine had been a hair stylist for four years and was extremely committed to advanced education. Christine was very aware of the potential that the beauty industry had to offer if only a positive “can do” attitude was part of the greater picture. She felt that in order for her business to grow, she would need to provide a supportive and very encouraging environment. After attending a major hair show in Los Angeles, Christine decided to purchase her own salon. She began this venture with the hope of realizing her dream to create a salon culture that would be supportive, team oriented, prosperous, and a wonderful work environment.

As Scott and Christine began this adventure, they came to learn the importance of having a strong business. They found that most salons were owned by great hair stylists, not necessarily great business people. They knew that in order to be successful, a great team culture had to be cultivated. They began to implement systems and create that team environment. They also found that in order to be the best, you must develop relationships with the best product and educational support systems that the industry has to offer. Not only were these relationships made, but they are on-going and have prospered. At Salon Cabochon, there is an apprenticeship program in place as well as weekly education for all salon staff members.

At Salon Cabochon we are proud to be able to offer career opportunities to inspired hair designers of all experience levels. We highly encourage continuing education in any area offered by our industry. We offer a unique environment that encourages growth, creativity, professional challenges, and outstanding customer service.

Management

Salon Cabochon’s management department is in charge of cultivating a team environment. We promote a learning environment by implementing continuous education classes weekly. These classes reflect and encourage personal and technical skills development. The technical training program is the foundation in evaluating those who are willing to grow and prosper. It allows the team to receive proper training in areas of great importance such as attitude, customer service, and the appearance of a well-groomed team. This process is time consuming, but without a doubt fundamental to the salon’s values and ensures consistent quality of service.

Our Mission

We are dedicated to providing you with professional innovative techniques, a welcoming and relaxing atmosphere, and outstanding customer service each and every time you visit us.

Team Services

We practice the highest form of team service. This means that the skills of our entire salon are available to you. We don’t lock you into one stylist. We don’t keep you on a waiting list. Meeting your salon service needs and busy schedule is our top priority.
